Agnes Bernelle was a great trouper and brought a breath of Berlin
to the venues such as the Project Theatre where she did her inimitable cabaret
shows and sketches. Indeed I thought of her last weekend when the Cobalt
Café in North Great Georges Street was the venue for a marvelous performance
entitled ‘Lost Songs’ in which Camille O’Sullivan assisted by James
Barry, with Feargal Murray at piano and Ewan Cowley on guitar
recreated this ambiance.
This bohemian venue of this
greatly loved Café was ideal for the material and Camille O’Sullivan showed a
remarkable capacity to use all the resources of the setting giving us a dramatic
musical and thrilling interpretation.
