Dublin
Fringe Festival 2002
in
A Cabaret of Our Times by Gavin Kostick
Original music:
Andrew Synnott, Jack L & Feargal Murray
Night
in the city. Heartbreak and high rents. Crocodiles in suits, hyenas in short
skirts. The rich sharp tang of money gone rotten….
An exciting collaboration between three
disciplines-the playwright Gavin Kostick, actress/singer Camille
O’Sullivan and musical director Andrew Synnott, creating a modern
‘Cabaret’ that holds up a mirror to contemporary Dublin. Also
included are the original music of Jack L and Feargal Murray with
creative input by Conall Morrison. Devised for this festival, this contemporary
cabaret is set one evening in Dublin when a Cabaret singer faces and
questions her life and loves in this lonely city to date….
Famed for her passionate singing and interpretive
power of song, Camille O’Sullivan premieres this one-woman show
taking you on a devastating, exhilarating journey into the night.
It’s tough, it’s ugly, and it’s time to find a little
fragile beauty….
