out…O’Sullivan’s
passion and sense
of ambiguity shine through’

WELL
Her show stopping performance transforms this production into something
truly memorable
Jocelyn Clarke- SUNDAY TRIBUNE

Her tour de force reading of theatrical songs……….Camille O’Sullivan
sings as though her past, present and future depend on total immersion in the
song

could melt mountains

MURDER BALLADS Kilkenny Arts Fest 2002
Camille O’Sullivan renders some beautiful interpretations….She manages
to maintain all the menace of the songs but also bring out the heartrending
loss of innocence and sadness underlying Cave’s lyrics. O’Sullivan’s
performances are full of barely contained emotion which she delivers with a
moving balance of restraint and pathos
Patrick Brennan- THE EXAMINER
Her
dramatic presence is understated, perfectly attuned to the dark rhythms of Nick
Cave and Tom Waits whose lyrics and melodies she weaves in and around the dance
and the melodrama. This cabaret mixture is highly potent as is the overall
effect of the performance.
Seona Mac
Reamoinn- THE SUNDAY TRIBUNE
ONE NIGHT STAND- Dublin
Theatre Fest 2002
O’Sullivan
has largely made her reputation through her very brilliant interpretations of
the songs of the German and French cabaret tradition….There is a beautiful but
powerful, sometimes minor key to her singing…songs that will make you weep with
their emotional intensity and understanding.
Patrick Brennan- THE EXAMINER
LOLA BLAU – Limerick
Unfringed 2003
This one woman Cabaret
is a triumph for O’Sullivan… showing she’s not just a fantastic singer
,but a skilful actor
too
The
Irish Times
A delightful
entertainer, O’Sullivan has a compelling physical beauty – enough to convince
us
that she really is Lola Blau, former icon of
the musical stage
The Sunday Tribune
The half French, half Irish performer is a delightful entertainer and
uses her many skills to capture the attention of the audience….
Rachel Andrews- THE SUNDAY TRIBUNE
BREL SHOW (June Helix)
Ian Fox- The Sunday Tribune
Sensational, each note invested with ferocious spirit and
empathy...
Sexy and provocative, O'Sullivan is possessed of an exceptional
voice, perfectly suited to Brel's songs.
This is pure joy, a fine
tribute to the breadth of Brel's artistry''
